oes your grandchild love dinosaurs? If so, then you're in luck.

There are tons of museums that specialize in dinosaur exhibits, and they're the perfect place to take them on a day trip.

Here are five museums that we recommend:

1. Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History

The new 31,000-square-foot fossil hall features 700 specimens, including dramatically posed giants like Tyrannosaurus rex (formerly known as "king of the dinosaurs") and Diplodocus; plus a woolly mammoth.

2. American Museum of Natural History

Since 2016, the Museum of Natural History has displayed a cast of Patagotitan mayorum, a titanosaur discovered in Argentina’s Patagonia region. The 122-foot-long fossil is so large that its neck and head extend out toward the elevator banks—a welcoming greeting for visitors on "Dinosaur" floor.

3. The Field Museum

The Field Museum claims that its Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton is the most complete and best preserved in the world, known familiarly as "Sue."

4. Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University

The world's first mounted dinosaur skeleton (Hadrosaurus foulkii) has stood on display since 1868, and more than 30 species can be seen in Dinosaur Hall including T-rex.

5. Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County

At this museum, you'll see a Triceratops prorsus locked in mortal combat with a T-rex.

At these museums, you can marvel at amazing fossils and history—with the company of your grandchild!
