As we welcome a new year, GetSetUp launches four empowering learning campaigns designed to support older adults in living vibrant, connected, and independent lives throughout 2026.

This year’s themes aren’t just topics they’re building blocks of lifelong wellness and self-confidence. With monthly class series under each campaign, we’re making learning relevant, accessible, and fun for every older adult.

2026 Campaign Themes

Healthy Living

This campaign empowers learners to take charge of their well-being through movement, nutrition, mental health support, and preventive care. From beginner workouts and sleep tips to chronic condition support, these classes make healthy living attainable and enjoyable. Each month, learners will find a fresh reason to move their bodies and care for themselves in new, sustainable ways.

Creativity for Wellness

Creativity is a powerful wellness tool and this campaign helps learners tap into their inner artist, chef, musician, or storyteller. Whether it’s watercolor painting, baking a new dish, journaling, or singing along in a music session, these experiences help reduce stress, improve mood, and provide connection and meaning. Every class in this series is designed to uplift and inspire.

Finance Wise

Navigating money matters can be overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. This campaign provides clear, supportive guidance on everyday financial topics including saving, debt reduction, fraud protection, retirement planning, and accessing public benefits. The goal is simple: empower older adults to feel more confident and in control of their financial futures.

Digital Literacy for All

From getting online to understanding artificial intelligence, this campaign helps learners of all skill levels thrive in a digital world. Designed with older adults in mind, the classes focus on everyday tech skills like sending email, video calling loved ones, securing personal information, and confidently using smartphones and computers.

What’s New in January

January is all about fresh starts and this month’s content reflects the energy, reflection, and inspiration that comes with the new year. Each campaign launches with a curated series built to support personal goals, wellness, and self-expression.

Healthy Living: Fitness Fresh Start

The Fitness Fresh Start series offers motivating classes that help learners ease into a new year of movement. With options like gentle stretching, chair-based fitness, and low-impact cardio, these sessions meet learners where they are—no fancy gear or gym required. Instructors emphasize consistency over intensity, making it easier for older adults to build a routine they’ll actually enjoy and stick with.

Creativity for Wellness: Ignite Creativity

Ignite your imagination in this uplifting creative series. From art workshops to music appreciation and hands-on cooking classes, learners are invited to embrace self-expression and joy. These sessions aren’t about being “perfect”—they’re about having fun, relaxing, and letting your mind play. This series is perfect for shaking off the winter blues and bringing new energy into your home.

Finance Wise: Dollars & Sense – Financial ABCs

January’s financial classes focus on the basics that everyone should know—especially at the start of a new year. Topics include how to track spending, set savings goals, avoid common financial pitfalls, and understand credit, interest, and budgeting tools. It’s ideal for anyone who wants to be more organized and less anxious about their money.

Digital Literacy for All: Get Comfortable with Technology

This series is designed to build confidence with everyday tech. Learners will practice computer basics, explore safe internet habits, and get comfortable using common tools like search engines, email, and apps. Whether you’re using a laptop or a smartphone, these classes help remove the fear of “messing up” and turn technology into a tool for empowerment and connection.
