The Solution: Peer-Led Digital Learning That Builds Confidence and Skills

Enter GetSetUp, a learning platform designed specifically for older adults. With over 10 million class attendances worldwide, GetSetUp offers more than 5,000 class topics across four languages, available live, on-demand, or as short videos and interactive sessions. Topics span digital literacy, financial wellness, health and wellness, and job readiness.

The impact is measurable. According to survey data:

  • 68% of GetSetUp learners reported acquiring a skill they could use for a job, their own business, or volunteer work.

  • 94% said they gained access to learning they wouldn’t normally have.

  • 42% felt more confident in their skills.

  • 41% said their motivation for continued learning and job seeking increased significantly.

One SCSEP participant, Barbara from Maine, shared:

“I was taking courses in another program focused on certificates, but GetSetUp offered a refreshing break and more informative content, especially in computer classes. I have notebooks filled with information from the courses I’ve taken on GetSetUp.”

Brian, a learner from Vermont, added:
