Now, we’re thrilled to introduce a brand-new series of classes focused on our very own AI Assistant - Helen. Helen is an assistant designed to help learners explore their interests, find resources, and get answers on everything from staying healthy to mastering technology.

Why We’re Launching This Series

Older adults often hear about the potential of AI but aren’t sure how to make it work in their daily lives. That’s where GetSetUp come in. With years of experience teaching digital topics, GetSetUp knows that an empathetic, safe, and secure step-by-step approach is key to helping learners adopt new technology confidently. By weaving Helen-AI into interactive sessions, we give learners the chance to ask questions in real time and see exactly how AI can support their goals, help them find resources, and aid them with basic tech support.

In this special series, learners will find multiple classes, some just 20 minutes, others a bit longer that cover how Helen-AI can:

How the Classes Work

Our Helen AI Assistant classes follow our same safe, secure, and trusted model for classes. That includes:

1. Peer-Led Instruction: Each class is guided by an instructor who not only knows the ropes of using AI tools but also understands the unique questions older adults often have. You’ll learn alongside fellow participants who may be exploring AI for the first time—so no question is off-limits.
2. Real-Time Demos: Instructors will show Helen in action, typing queries and demonstrating the best ways to phrase questions. You’ll see firsthand how Helen responds, offering personalized prompts or directing you to relevant on-demand resources.
3. Hands-On Practice: Our sessions are interactive. After the initial demo, you’ll have a chance to practice entering your own queries, exploring menus, and uncovering Helen’s full potential. Instructors are there to help if you get stuck or need extra guidance.
4. Instant Follow-Up: Once the class ends, Helen remains available 24/7. You can keep chatting, asking follow-up questions, or diving deeper into topics you learned during the lesson. It’s a seamless blend of live teaching and on-demand support.
