Digital literacy is the cornerstone of participation in the modern world. It goes beyond the ability to search the internet or send an email; it encompasses a wide range of skills necessary for personal and professional success. From managing digital finances to understanding online privacy and utilizing social media for business, the breadth of digital literacy is vast and continuously expanding.

GetSetUp services align directly with the digital literacy training programs highlighted in the National Telecommunications and Information Administration's (NTIA)’s Digital Equity Capacity Grant Program, a $1.44 billion investment in digital inclusion. GetSetUp classes help older adults learn and gain confidence with the digital tools promoted in the NTIA’s efforts to bridge the digital divide through internet for all and efforts to promote broadband from all. 

At GetSetUp, we offer a curriculum that addresses this broad spectrum. Our classes range from "Ipad Basics" for beginners to more specialized courses like "Introduction to Social Media" and "Hidden Gmail Features You Need to Know" for those looking to enhance their professional skill set. This variety ensures that no matter where you are in your digital journey, GetSetUp has a path forward for you.

“We learned quite a bit in the basic course and the intermediate course. I gained a lot from those two classes. I now know way more than just the phone calls. It is amazing how much capacity these phones have to perform certain tasks,” said Steve, a Wyoming learner. 

Similarly, Darlene, a Sacramento learner, looked forward to GetSetUp classes to help her pursue her online passion for a business,

"I’d like to start my own business as a Life Coach, and I think taking Marketing classes on GetSetUp would be very helpful." 

Diane learned about classes through her local LaVerne Library in California, saying,

"When I saw all these classes, I was excited to learn how to use technology. Because of my physical situation, most of my work is done online, and I have a lot to learn about technology."
