1 tender medium-sized ridge gourd
1 cup rice
1 fistful poha
1 teaspoon red chili
8 to 10 jeera
1 large onion for grinding
1 small piece of tamarind
1 small piece of jaggery

Directions
1. Soak the rice for at least 3 hours.
2. Wash poha and keep aside.
3. Peel ridge gourd and cut round slices. Set aside.
4. Grind soaked rice with other ingredients to make a smooth paste slightly thinner than urad dosa batter.
5. Heat an oiled pan.
6. Dip the ridge gourd slices in batter and place them on the hot pan in a circle.
7. Fill the gaps between the slices with batter.
8. Drizzle with a spoonful of oil and cook both sides for 2 minutes each.
